to be a beta tester for this a few months back
apparently I hold no value to them though. I think it's got huge potential though, unlike Cuil. Did anybody even use that after the 1st week?

Cuil

Somehow I've never heard of this, but Comic Book Guy has.

Gimme gimme

On Friday's list of links on http://abnormalreturns.com/ this site was mentioned (toward the bottom).

The Economist definitely hit on a topic which I could see using this for: analyzing a company's internal data. Take ABB for example, in which there are product lines, business units, divisions, countries, regions, among other codes. The results of the operations need to be presented in all these different ways to management. I've been using pivot tables / charts (w/ macro's to map relationships & trends in the data) which take a decent amount of time & effort to build & maintain.

One thing I've learned in this new position is that the graphs & reports Finance produces are only limited by the imagination of Management. A computational engine like this that presents decent looking information could really help the cause.

Compute your ass off
