Me @ The Standard

My original post about my birthday weekend mainly focused on my new PS3 (which I am still loving), but was missing the second half of that weekend. Well, Becca got around to uploading some photos from our stay at The Standard Hotel and dinner at Spice Market. She really did a hell of a job making this old boy feel special, and I'm forever grateful for that. And I have to apologize for being born in January. Walking the High Line in below-freezing temps was a little rough.

Becca wanted The Standard to be a surprise, but that girl can only keep something under wraps so long. She dropped the hint that it was a building and was on a Curbed "Top 10" list. Without ever seeing the list, I made several guesses, which all happened to be on there. By then I was so warm she had to give up the location. The Standard was pretty awesome. I've never been in such an interesting, modern hotel. Two thumbs up.
