At some point we've all pulled something not-so-fresh from the fridge and wondered if it was still good, or at least not life-threatening.  I've found that StillTasty comes in really handy when I'm caught in one of those situations. 

StillTasty is an online database of shelf life information for food products.  For each product, the site will tell you how long it will stay good depending on whether or not it's been opened.  The age-old questions of "Does this go bad?" and "Is this still good?" no longer have to go unanswered.  Because sometimes "Does this smell funny to you?" just doesn't cut the moldy mustard.
