From the "Holy crap, no way" department

Seriously, he can't

I remembered our discussion here a few months ago and could not believe this when I received the email today.

Wow, 19 years later! Our pal Xeller (a.k.a. CaptainX) can finally upgrade from those VHS tapes.

Holy Jesus!

I can't believe it! You know that Parker Lewis (real name Corin Nemec) is a rabid Scientologist? When I had my infamous experience with teh Scientologists of Boston, I somehow found his website and he wrote m a personal email about Scientology. I lost all respect for him that day or was it his acting in Stphen King's "The Langoliers?" Now the dilemma is do I buy the DVD or downlaod because he's a nutcase? Talk amongst yahsulf's

Holy Hubbard!

So, you're a religious persecutor?

The Duality of Man

Can we separate our respect for celebrities' talents from our judgments of their personal lives? Can we celebrate an artist's body of work even if he was a child molester? Recent events would certainly suggest so. But I think a lot of people have mixed feelings on the subject. Thank goodness Hitler was a shitty painter.

You say Tomato, I say...

I'm not a religious persecutor, just an agnostic. My attitude towards scientologists is based on the fact that, after they brought me into one of their "churches", had me take an over 100 question test and then told me the results were that my life was shit and only they can help. Not a persecutor, just realistic that these people have a screw loose.

I will probably buy the DVD just because I did love this show so much. Shit, Pete Rose bet on baseball, Clinton got brain in the oval office, and Michael Jackson probably touched a booty hole or two but we like them none-the-less.

Did someone say tomato?

Plus I only like early 80's MJ

It's a good question, and I am believer. C'mon, celebrities aren't real people. Just dancing & singing objects that get chased by maniacs with cameras, that's all. Which brings up a great question, who are the paparazzi going to harass now? I bet Michael had a small army on him non-stop.

Allow me, if you will, to attempt to link the two topics at hand. The other religion in town, the Catholic church, has had its fair share of fucks up's. Yet somehow I still have respect for it, although that could just be the altar boy in me talking... I'm with you, down with Scientology!

Millions of "Stress Tests" Can't Be Wrong!

These alien-loving heathens are forever in the Times Square subway station with their "Free Stress Tests" and their "e-meters." Every one of the poor souls that sits down is subjected to the same inquisition and condemnation that Xeller spoke of. And for what? A copy of Dianetics and eternal salvation when the mothership lands? No thank you, sir!

But to relate back to the other topic at hand, I still love Braveheart even if Mel Gibson did say that the Jews are responsible for all wars AND called a female police officer "sugar tits." Although I read that he denied the sugar tits comment (which is actually kind of funny), but not the Jew bashing (not so funny).

Wikipedia lays the smackdown!
